My First Television Studies Publication

My article called “‘Love American Style’: Race, Cuban Identity and Cultural Tyranny in Showtime’s Dexter has been published in American Studies Today Online (Vol 19). I am very grateful to the editors of this publication for accepting my article. Although my core research focus is Chicana Poetry I have maintained an interest in Film since my undergraduate degree. I have a particular interest in Television Studies and this article was first presented as a conference paper at the Bookends 2011 conference in UCC. At Bookends 2012I presented on True Blood and I will present on this again at the Inaugural Alphaville Conference in University College Cork, Sept 2012. I hope to continue fostering my  interest in Television Studies through research, conferences and publications.
